Volunteer Opportunities

In addition to general build and build site volunteers, Habitat NCR often requires volunteers for specific, immediate needs. Please check the current volunteer opportunities below and determine if you can help us out both on and beyond the build. Click on the link where applicable for a detailed description.

Build – Orleans, 324-328 Tulip Crescent Food Captains & donors Help to feed our hungry volunteers! Are you connected in the food industry? Do you know lots of people in Orleans? Help us to find donated lunches for our hungry volunteers as they build two homes in Orleans! OR donate a lunch! Volunteers from 8am – 4:30pm Site Liaisons from 8am - 430pm Build Volunteer job descriptions: Volunteer: A person willing to take on any general task or build task. Crew Leader: A volunteer with strong communication skills and the ability to guide and instruct a group of four to six lesser skilled volunteers in a particular construction task through to its completion. Volunteer Liaison 1 and 2: A volunteer who enjoys working with and taking care of other volunteers and workers and is willing to run errands as needed. Valid driver’s license is required. Reports to the Volunteer Coordinator.
ReStore Associates – we need additional volunteers to work in the Walkley ReStore. Family Partnering Committee Members Work as a liaison between the Habitat office and a family who is either on the Habitat Home Waiting List or whose home is under construction. Guide a family through the Habitat process and smile at the rewards when you get to hand the family to keys to their new home at the Dedication ceremony!	Ongoing
